Start your exploring in Denmark’s Copenhagen before cruising overnight to Norway’s capital, Oslo. Take the world’s most beautiful train journey to Flåm and hop on an electric boat to cruise the magnificent Sognefjord and visit the charming city of Bergen before flying to Sweden’s watery capital, Stockholm.

Day 1: Copenhagen, Denmark

Welcome to Copenhagen!

  • Depart our hotel at 5 pm and explore the cobblestoned streets of Strøget on our way to our welcome dinner in the famous Nyhavn Harbor
  • Hotels: Scandic Palace Hotel or Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel
  • Meals included: Welcome dinner 

Day 2: Copenhagen, Denmark

  • This morning we take a train to follow in Shakespeare’s footsteps by visiting Kronborg Castle, better known as Elsinor. There, we’ll take a guided tour of the haunted castle from Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet
  • Enjoy lunch in Helsingør with a view of the harbor before heading back to Copenhagen
  • In the early evening we visit the world’s oldest theme park, Tivoli Gardens, that was Walt Disney’s inspiration for his theme parks
  •  Hotels: Scandic Palace Hotel or Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel

  • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch 

Day 3: Copenhagen and cruise to Oslo, Norway

  • This morning we take a guided canal boat tour to discover the best of Copenhagen followed by a walking tour of sites including The Little Mermaid and one of the best- preserved fortresses in Northern Europe, Kastellet. Then marvel at the rococo jewel that is the Marble Church
  • In the afternoon, board a cruise ship for an overnight sail to Oslo.  
  • Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch. Dinner aboard the ship.

Day 4: Oslo, Norway

  • The ship arrives into Oslo at 10:00am
  • Take a short boat ride to Bygdøy for a leisurely visit to the Kon Tiki, Fram, and Maritime Museums 

  • In the afternoon, you’re free to use your Oslo Pass to visit museums such as the newly opened National Museum, Munch Museum, the Resistance Museum, or Akershus Fortress. The Oslo Pass Maxa Tours provides will allow you free entrance to most museums and free public transportation 

  • Dinner will be served at a traditional Norwegian restaurant

Day 5: Oslo, Norway

  • This morning we visit the famous Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Ski Museum where the 1952 Winter Olympics were held. You’ll take the elevator to the top of the ski jump for spectacular views of the city 
  • After a quick lunch we take a guided, walking tour of the lush, sprawling Vigeland Park that displays the life work of Gustav Vigeland—more than 200 granite, bronze, and wrought iron sculptures 
  • The evening is for you to do as you please 
  • Hotels: Clarion Oslo or Clarion The Hub
  • Meals Included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 6: Fjords and Voss

  • Bright and early, we board the train to Fjord Country. The last part of that journey will be aboard the legendary Flåm Railway, the steepest, standard gauge railway line in existence and truly the most spectacular train journey in the world 
  • Arrive in Flåm and take in the fjord scenery before boarding one of the ultramodern electric vessels that will take you through the spectacular UNESCO-listed Fjords of Norway. 
  • After arriving in Gudvangen, you will take a short ride through breathtaking Fjord country before arriving in the town of Voss
  • Hotel: Scandic Voss
  • Meals included: Breakfast 

Day 7: Bergen and Stockholm, Sweden

  • Today we’ll board the train to Bergen where you’ll take the famous Fløien funicular to the top of the mountains surrounding Bergen for a spectacular view of the city and its harbor
  • We will tour Bergen’s most famous attraction, Bryggen, also known as Tyskebryggen. It’s a series of Hanseatic heritage commercial buildings that lines the eastern side of the Vågen harbor. Bryggen has been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites since 1979 

  • After lunch, you will visit Troldhaugen, the historic home of composer and pianist Edvard Grieg, where you will enjoy a short concert performance 

  • Visit one of the tiny but classic Norwegian Stav churches before heading to the airport and taking a quick flight to Sweden’s capital, Stockholm

  • Hotels: Sheraton Stockholm Hotel, Scandic Continental
  • Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 8: Stockholm, Sweden

  • After breakfast, take a cruise on Lake Mälaren to the wonderful Drottningholm Palace, the Swedish Royal Family’s summer residence. After a guided tour, we’ll enjoy lunch on the boat back to the city 
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the most famous site in Stockholm, the Vasa Museum. The museum displays an almost-fully intact, 17th-century ship that has ever been salvaged The 64-gun warship sank minutes after leaving her harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628
  • Hotels: Sheraton Stockholm Hotel, Scandic Continental 
  • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch 

Day 9: Stockholm, Sweden

  • Start with a guided tour of Stockholm City Hall, a waterside government building completed in 1923 that is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet every December
  • Your afternoon is free to allow you to explore Stockholm on your own 
  •  In the evening we invite you to join us for a farewell dinner 

  • Hotels: Sheraton Stockholm Hotel, Scandic Continental  
  • Meals included: Breakfast and farewell dinner 

Day 10: Stockholm, Sweden

  • Enjoy your last leisurely breakfast in Scandinavia, before starting your journey back home or onwards to your next destination. 
  • Meals: Breakfast.
